Tigers!  We raised $1000 for the OLL St. Vincent de Paul Pantry! (It was $991.42, but a donor rounded it out!) Thanks to all who contributed to this needed cause!
Grades 1,3,8 won an out of dress code day on Thursday, February 17th.
A shoutout to Mrs. Huwel’s HR for winning CSW Bingo.
We will be scheduling a time for your pizza party!
Everyone seemed to have so much fun and many students and teachers won candy and treats throughout the days. Thanks to PTO for lunch, it was great not having to pack one day!
The Kindergarten went to Mass this week with their buddies and will be there every week with 1st grade and their buddies. 2nd grade will be at Mass weekly as well, preparing for their First Holy Communion.

Tiger Pride! smiley

A Message from Ms. B:

What a week we have shaping up before us! Because of the icy weather (hopefully, everyone stayed safe and sound!), we have pushed back a few days and have made some changes to the week ahead.
Monday: Teacher Appreciation Day, students wear grade color (please no hoodies!)
Tuesday: Lourdes spirit, students wear Lourdes spiritwear; 8th grade will be on their field trip to St. Vincent. Please follow dress code established by Ms. Krimm.
Who Dey WednesDey: Support our Hometown Heroes: Kevin Huber and Sam Hubbard, two players from Cincinnati! Wear Bengals, UC, or high school of your choice with uniform bottoms. This way we show our school pride and our city pride (Huber went to McNick and UC, Hubbard went to Moeller and OSU)
Third Down ThursDey: Wear orange and black with uniform bottoms and fun socks! This way we can show support for McPherson our kicker and Chase, Higgins, and Boyd! This is also an AR out of uniform day.
FriDey: Burrow into your best Bengals gear to show support for Joe Burrow. Valentine’s Day parties with Littles. I hope we can keep it all straight!

A Message from Ms. B:

Something we noticed in the upper grades: The school issues all students a pair of headphones at the beginning of the year for classroom use. These headphones are often necessary for instruction and technology class, as the Junior High uses various online platforms and programs to enhance whole-class, in-person instruction. Recently we have seen a spike in the number of students without their headphones because they are lost or broken, resulting in an inability to complete an in-class assignment. Beginning next week, students who do not have their headphones will be given an alternate in-class assignment and be expected to complete the original assignment at home. Please check with your student to be sure he/she has this essential supply. If not, earbuds can often be found at the Dollar Store, the school has headphones available for purchase ($1), or students can bring in personal headphones or earbuds from home. Thank you for your continued support and attention to this matter.

This being Catholic Schools’ Week, it is a time to celebrate our privilege of learning about God in a Catholic school.  We have activities and dress code changes, celebrating a special group in our Catholic school, each day.  Be sure to read the pink Catholic Schools’ Week paper sent home on Friday.
