The Sandy Oberjohann Memorial Education Fund Board
Mrs. Sandy Oberjohann taught at Lourdes for 12 years, from 1977 to 1989. In special tribute to her, a memorial fund was established to help with the costs of providing a Catholic education at Our Lady of Lourdes School. Lourdes is asking you to consider becoming a member of the Sandy Oberjohann Memorial Education Fund Board. The Board currently meets twice each year to review plans for the continual development of the school and then determines how the parish’s gifts to the memorial fund disbursements will be allocated. The Board also oversees the planning of the Lourdes Lotto, one of the primary fundraisers for the school students. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents of current and former school students and for all parishioners to express their dedication to Our Lady of Lourdes School. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Pat Dinkelacker via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or Heather Bessler at email@example.com.
From the Parish and our Church
Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus and should be a peaceful time for giving. No child or family should go without during the holidays. Any families are needing assistance with Christmas, please do not hesitate to reach out to Erin Dwyer in the Parish Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or Heather Bessler at email@example.com. Everyone should be able to celebrate Christmas and the birth of Christ.
From the Athletic Department
Need to meet your expected OLLAC volunteer hours? The girls volleyball tournament starts Tuesday, November 23, in both the new and old gym! To make this a successful tournament, volunteers are needed for the door and concessions. The spots needed most are the door times as the door admission covers the fee the school pays to the refs. Click the link to sign up: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0449AFAF28A5FB6-20212. If anyone has questions about volunteer hours, please reach out to Gigi Frazier at (513) 310-1177 or firstname.lastname@example.org
From our Business Office
Just a reminder: All tuition must be current and registration fees paid in order for students to receive their first trimester report cards and for parents to be able to access the online grading system. The first trimester ends on November 19. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parish Office Center at 922-0715. Thank you so much for your support of our school.
Cafeteria and Playground Volunteers

SafeParish Reminder - Registration and Compliance
Please be sure to register your account with SafeParish at https:// www.aocsafeenvironment.org if you wish to volunteer in events with young people in the church and at school. The SafeParish program replaced VIRTUS as the Archdiocesan monitoring and training vehicle in accordance with the Child Protection Decree. Everybody that has registered for a SafeParish account will receive an email 4 times each year alerting you to a training video you must watch. These quarterly training videos are similar in requirements to the monthly VIRTUS training bulletins you were required to complete. Maintaining compliance with the Child Protection Decree now requires you only to watch these SafeParish training videos 4 times each year. You will also receive email updates from the AoC SafeParish email address about protecting the vulnerable in our community. The articles or links in these emails are available for reading at your convenience and they do not replace the requirement for viewing the training videos every 3 months.
From Ms. Schaefer and the Art Department
Thank you to everyone who purchased something from Art to Remember! The art department appreciates your support. Parents may place a late order from November 3rd through December 30th. All late orders ship to home only and they still count towards the school fundraiser. You can use this website to find your children's artwork: https://arttoremember.com/school/7jsme9.
From Ms. Schaefer and the Art Department
5th and 6th Grade students are invited to join the Our Lady of Lourdes Art Club! It is for avid artists looking to advance their skills. Meetings will be held every other Monday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm, starting November 29 and continuing through January and February after Christmas break. The club is limited to 24 students due to art room capacity and covid protocol. Parents can sign their student up by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
TUITION AID ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022/2023 SCHOOL YEAR ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION IS JANUARY 31, 2022.
The Archdiocese has begun accepting applications to receive tuition aid for the 2022/2023 school year. This program uses funds collected from the Archdiocese’s One Faith, One Hope, One Love campaign to offer scholarships to students. These scholarships are need-based and are open to parishioners and non-parishioners. Families who qualify may receive up to $1,200 per student. Apply online at the OLL FACTS website (https://online.factsmgt.com/signin/4HJ28). This is the same website used last year so if you applied last year, you should have an account already established. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2022. Families will be notified in April, 2022 if they received an award from the Archdiocese and the amount of the award.
Our Lady of Lourdes will still be giving tuition aid, but only after the Archdiocese distributes their awards. Families who would like to apply for tuition aid for next school year MUST apply by January 31, 2022. If you have already applied this fall for tuition aid for a high school student, you do not need to apply again. Our Lady of Lourdes will notify families in early June of awards received from OLL.
Again we want to emphasize that the deadline for all tuition aid applications for the 2022/2023 school year is January 31, 2022. Please note that you will be required to provide 2020 financial documents.
For information and details about the Archdiocese’s tuition aid program please visit www.catholicbestchoice.org. You can also call the Parish Office with questions at 922-0715.
