PTO Corner

We, the OLL community, want to thank Katie Boyers for her service to the PTO and everything that came with the job as President. Mrs. Boyers successfully navigated us through the pandemic and the many challenges of finding some fun in an uncertain time for the last 6 years. Mrs. Boyers made many trips to school to “drop off something”, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day. Flyers, photocopies, and many items counted out, were a way of life. Her new and fresh ideas helped to form a stronger organization with more volunteers and willing parents. We are thankful for you Katie Cassidy Boyers and are glad you will continue to offer your wisdom and time!

And with Mrs. Boyers’ guidance, the PTO ’s Field Day was a success! A special shoutout to the Executive Board: Rachel Corata, Erin Dinkelacker, Kandace Walters, Stacey Pierson, and Katie Boyers. I cannot thank the volunteers enough for their time and energy to make this day fun for all students! (I’d list you all but there were so many; I’d be afraid I’d miss someone.) The 8th grade did a fabulous job engaging the kiddos and keeping an eye on our smallest Tigers. And Katie King did a fantastic job keeping her wits while helping to plan and organize with the 8th grade. Thanks to those who sponsored a game or food station, we truly appreciate your generosity.

Our current Ways and Means volunteers are moving on! A huge thank you to Jennifer Neiman and Stephanie Knapke who organized our dinner fundraisers and our hot lunches. The PTO is looking for a few volunteers to take over where these ladies left off. If you think you can devote some time on your computer, please reach out to the Lourdes PTO at pto@lourdes.org. We could use your help!

Summer Bridge

Want your student to continue working on skills throughout the summer? Low stakes activities that help with Reading and Math? Available to us are Summer Bridge Books. Some of our students want to make sure they have an advantage starting the 2022-2023 school year. If you are interested or have questions, please email Mrs. Katie King: kking@lourdes.org.

The Art Show and Spring Concert were a HUGE success! Thanks to Ms. Schaefer and Mrs. Routt for their tireless work in finding the inner talents of our Tigers! There were some “Best of Show” awards for the art pieces and I know many staff members and students have enjoyed walking around and seeing the various projects throughout the year. The Spring Concert was a rocking great time and not only did our students demonstrate their musical talents a few of our parents did as well! Thank you to Mr. Kriemer and Mr. Sullivan.

Our Lady of Lourdes Student Athletes

We are excited to continue to provide students the opportunity to play football with current classmates and the ability to meet new friends at local schools through our football program. The Volunteer Football program will continue to participate in the Greater Cincinnati Youth League (www.gcyl.org) and will play our home games at St. Jude Field while using David James Field (located at Oskamp Park) for practices throughout the week. Season starts in the Fall of 2022.
