Our Lady of Lourdes School is a kindergarten through eight grade Catholic parochial school serving 275 boys and girls in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We are just a few days away now from coming together to have fun as we raise funds to support our school.  Join us as we begin the festivities after the 4pm Mass on Saturday, July 24th!

Tickets for the major award of a year's tuition at Our Lady of Lourdes school or the $5,150 cash equivalent; tickets for the ping-pong ball drop and for the dinner and beverage, may be purchased with credit card online through the end of day Thursday, July 22.  Go [here] and scroll down to "credit card" under 'Gifts of Cash, Credit Card and Bank Transfers' to make your purchase by credit card.  Meal tickets and chances for the games and raffles can be made with cash or check the night of the event.  Dinner will be served from 5pm until 7pm and the beer garden will be open throughout the evening.

Along with the live music behind the parish office center building, there are games for the kiddos with prizes, or you can have your caricature drawn or maybe grab a shaved ice cup to cool off - all free of charge!

Watch the ping-pong balls drop from the fire truck ladder and see if you are closest to the target. Listen for your name as the winners of the raffles and drawings are announced.  Bring your lawn chairs and let's celebrate each other!

Educate the whole person by promoting the spiritual, moral, intellectual, emotional, and physical development of each student in a value-centered environment of mutual respect.

The St. John Bosco Youth Group is an awesome place to meet Catholic teens who are growing in their faith a little more each day. The Youth Group brings teens together each week to learn about their faith, to grow in their faith and in community, and to strengthen their faith so they can go out into the world and be "Fishers of men" -Matthew 4:19

What our parents say about us

  • “It’s not just a school, it’s a community of teachers, faculty, parents and priests; and because of this community, we think our children are much better prepared to face their next steps in life. Our decision nine years ago was a good one.” - Parent of students in grades 8, 7 and 4.

  • “Our Lady of Lourdes not only focuses on education but the staff also stresses a great moral environment which I believe has had a great influence on my children.  As my children have developed into teenagers, I believe Our Lady of Lourdes’ teaching has truly helped them make good education and good moral decisions during these tough teenage years.” - Parent of students in grade 8.

A Walk Through the Mass - The Penitential Act

We continue our Pop-Up Catechesis series: A Walk Through the Mass. In this episode, we explore the Penitential Act.

Have you ever been caught with your guard down? I’m referring to those times when people see the “real you,” such as when you run to the supermarket in your sweats and slippers, hair undone, and no makeup, hoping that no one will see you. As embarrassing as that can be, there is also something liberating about it. We no longer have to put on a front for the person who caught us, because now that person has seen us as we really are and (hopefully!) still accepts us.

At Mass, the first thing we do after the Entrance Procession and the Greeting from the priest is let our guard down. We remove any facades that prevent God and others from seeing us as we really are: not perfect people but sinners in need of salvation. In this episode of Pop-Up Catechesis, we explore the Penitential Act and how it opens us up to the grace that comes to us in the Eucharist.
